Best of friends.

When I found out that our second baby, Abby, was going to be a girl, I thought for sure I was off the hook. Those of you who know Isaac know how much energy he has. He is the most active 2 year old I have ever met and he sure keeps my hands full. Well, when Abby was born I thought to myself, "she's a girl, she's going to be mellow!" I mean, what are the odds that I would be given another Energizer bunny? Ha! I should've known. Abby started crawling a few weeks ago and since then, the little life I had left is now over! She is all over the place, going into bathrooms, getting stuck in toy bins, eating EVERYTHING off the floor, etc. Oh my sweet little Abby, where have you gone? Just kidding. She is still the sweetest, smiliest, cutest girl EVER, but she is certainly not mellow. But the more I was thinking about it, the more I realized that the reason Abby is also so full of energy is because she has learned from the master, her brother. And since her new crawling skills have come into place, she has become Isaac's best friend. They love to play together (as well as get into trouble together!) I took them to Costco last week and for the first time sat them next to each other in the cart. They had a blast. Needless to say, we have gone back 2 times since then because Isaac wanted to "sit next to Abby." I'm glad that even though Isaac doesn't have a brother like I'm sure he would've loved to, he adores Abby and loves to do everything with her! Hurray for siblings!!
