Abby's birthday turned out to be a great one. Mom made it home just in time from her trip to Utah (this trip deserves a post all by itself...Later!) to hug the cute girl and get everything ready for her party. This is her opening her presents from family (this actually didn't happen until this morning because Abby was wiped out last night from all the partying!)
I think Isaac might like this gift more than Abby. But they love to play with it together! And oh yeah, Isaac got a huge bruise under his eye yesterday morning. He ran into our window sill (his eyes were closed...crazy boy) so the tattoo band-aid it was!
The cutest birthday girl ever!
She wasn't sure what to think of this "ladybug" cake. For those of you questioning my cake decorating skills, you are right! I'm not good at this...but let's just give me the benefit of the doubt, I did only get home that morning and was working on maybe 6 hours of sleep in a 48 hour time period. AND I had never made a two layer cake before. This was the best I could do, I don't think Abby really noticed though :)
"The Meltdown" (no explanation needed)
The balloons were Abby's favorite part. She didn't eat the cake, only some icing. She was not a very good napper that day so when it was finally time for cake, she was thinking it should really be bedtime. But she made it through her first birthday party! Hurray! Thank you everyone who joined us to make Abby's day extra special!

Thanks for including us in the party! The cakes was so cute and tasted so yummy! You and Amy set the bar pretty high when it comes to birthday parties! We had a great time and think Abby is just so darn cute! Happy Birthday Abby!

I think that birthday cake is absolutely adorable, great job! It is such a trip when our babies have their first birthday, almost surreal.

this party was too fun! I LOVED the cake...you are SO creative to have thought of that! It tasted wonderful too! Abby is such a sweetheart, Zach is in love!
